My beautiful client requested a highlight touch up and a deeper brown for the winter. After gently lifting her with Blonde Me, I did an all toner with Redken Shades. Her highlights will grow and fade beautifully so we can go back little brighter for the summer! ๐ฅฐ

Styling tip: if you have frizz when it’s wet, you’re going to have more frizz when it’s dry. Always start with no frizz and you can build up volume once the hair is fully dry.
When different textures and curl patterns are cut properly, everything will come together perfectly.

Client’s top concerns: hydration, definition, and more volume on top. We started with a nice shape, followed by a spa mist treatment. During the styling portion of the service we discussed what products to use, what products to stay away from, and how to apply the product based off her porosity. Over the next few months using the tips and methods I recommended she will start to see more and more hydration and definition to her curls.

Warmer and shorter.
Long hair isn’t the goal for everyone. This client actually came back to go shorter, and as a stylist my goal is to cater to each client’s individual style and goal.
A year later we are touching up my clients highlight using @matrix #tonalcontrol toners. With #tonalcontrol pre-bonding toner, I get that extra bonding when toning my curly clients to ensure their curls stay healthy and soft during and after their service. The tonal control also ensures I don’t ever over tone, and with real time oxidation I know when it’s time to rinse. With long lasting results, I probably won’t see her until next year for another highlight touch up! ๐ @matrix @modernsalon
